Tornado Rig - Autodesk Maya Tutorial
Key concepts we'll be working on:
Today, we will rig tornado and lightning.
Two different system for this rig, one for the body part of the tornado and a second one with some few adjustments for the two lighning mesh available in the modeling.
We will go throught some new concept concerning the creation of folicule nodes, to be able to attach and link a controls sublayer system to a mesh or a nurbs.
After a first demonstration of the manipulations manually we will show you how you can use easily our tool to build very easily some part of this rig.
In theses videos, we'll cover the following points:
_How we organize ourselves with the different systems created.
_How to create first layer of controls ( tornado body part )
_How to create and attach secondary layer of controls ( tornado body part )
_how to rig the two lightning
_How to connect an attribute to a blendshape
_How to manage the global scale
_Clean and finalize the rig
